Welfare

terre des hommes, founded in 1960, terre des hommes is an international children’s rights charitable humanitarian umbrella organization with independent organizations in Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, and Syria.

Doctors without borders provide humanitarian medical care since 1971.

UNHCR: Founded in 1950, the UN Refugee Agency safeguards the rights and well-being of refugees. It has currently 20 million refugees under its mandate and holds two Nobel Peace Prizes.
Carbon offset
- United Nations Carbon Offset Platform is a platform where carbon credits can be purchased project-specific to compensate greenhouse gas emissions. It is run by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) which was founded in 1994.
- Goldstandard enable projects that reduced carbon emissions with the highest levels of environmental integrity since 2003. As with the UNFCCC, carbon offset certificates are bought to supply on a project-specific level.
- compensators.org buy CO2 emission allowances, making them unavailable to the major European polluters. It was founded in 2006 by scientists of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).

- WWF, the World Wide Fund For Nature, works in the field of wilderness preservation and the reduction of human impact on the environment since 1961.
- The Nature Conservancy, founded in 1951, aims for the highest possible impact on the climate and biodiversity crises.
- The Rainforest-Alliance creats a more sustainable world by using social and market forces to protect nature and improve the lives of farmers and forest communities since 1987.
